Pregunta:

What happens when a Chlorine Solution is added to Potassium Bromide? -Equation for this Reaction, Balanced

Autor: go kys

Respuesta:

-The Chlorine will Displace the Bromine, from the Salt [Kick out Bromine] -The Chlorine is Reduced [Gains Electrons] to become Chloride Ions, making the salt now Potassium Chloride -The Bromide Ions are Oxidised [Loses Electrons] making it become Bromine, which then Changes the Solution Orange -Chlorine + Potassium Bromide ---> Bromine + Potassium Chloride -[Cl²] + [2KBr] ---> [Br²] + [2KCl]
