level questions: Calculating Rates

QuestionAnswer
What can the Gradient mean, in a Graph that has Amount of Product formed, or Reactant used up, against Time?-The Gradient, in this instance, means the Rate of Reaction
Formula for the Gradient?Gradient = Change in the Y Axis / Change in the X Axis
How can you find the Gradient for a Curve?-If you have a Curve, then that means the Gradient will be Different at Different Points of the Curve -To get the Gradient of the Graph at a Certain Point, you need a Tangent, that touches that certain Point -Then use the Gradient Formula for that Line, which will then give you the Gradient [And therefore the Rate of Reaction] at that Point
Why can the 1/time be used as a Measurement of the Rate of Reaction?-This is because Rate is Inversely Proportional to the Time
