When a rock is repeatedly experiencing weather changes what happens to it? | When the rock is heated, it expands and contracts when it cools, this can cause cracks to form if this action is repeated over and over again. |
When water gets into rocks what happe ns? | Water expands as it freezes, forcing the cracks to expand. This is called freeze-thaw action |
What happens when plant roots get into the cracks of rocks? | The roots cause the cracks to get wider and then the rock eventually breaks in half. |
