This privacy policy applies to our use of any and all Data collected by us or provided by you in relation to your use of the Website.

This privacy policy applies only to the actions of Memory.com and Users with respect to this Website. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites. For purposes of the applicable Data Protection Laws, Memory.com is the “data controller”. This means that Memory.com determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, your Data is processed.

You can opt-out at any time by editing your user profile settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email you receive. Email options are by default opt-in. From time to time we run experiments where new users are automatically opted in, in accordance with policies. You can disable all emails by either 1) Visiting the edit profile section, 2) Clicking the unsubscribe buttton at the bottom of any email

Who we share Data with

We may share your Data with the following groups of people for the following reasons: our employees, agents and/or professional advisors - some data is stored unencrypted, e.g. forum posts. Private messages, however, are stored in an encrypted format where no employee can read them. Nothing sensitive, e.g. credit card information, the specific date of birth, the home address is every available to these persons.; third party service providers who provide services to us which require the processing of personal data - third party providers such as Google Analytics need basis, anonymous data to measure our website traffic. Social features and private messaging

An important part of education is communication, and Memory attempts to support this by offering social and chat facilities for which we do our best to ensure a duty of care towards users. The non-Schools version of Memory offers private messaging services and public forums to allow users to communicate. Any user account created on the Schools version of Memory will be unable to use messaging or social services. Public forum messages "threads" can be deleted on request. Private messages are stored for 90 days on our server in encrypted format. They are not read or monitored by Memory staff and the data is stored securely during its life period. Users can also delete messages in their entirety for both the sending and receiving party at any time. The chat facility is intended for communication between members. Profanity is not allowed and we may automatically suspend the accounts of any user who attempts to use profanity or are discovered by way of our "detection technology". This includes the detection of pornographic image uploads and profane words in messaging. User abuse counts are stored automatically. Memory does not share any of this data with other parties but, in the event of an investigation by law (including but not limited to: an accusation of cyber bullying or extremism), Memory be required to release and unencrypt chat messages. Private messages can only be sent if both the sender and recipient have mutually accepted to follow each other and is therefore considered an opt-in service by default, however you can opt out of chat and social features at any time in the user settings area, including removing your visibility from other users entirely. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use private messaging facilities. If an adult is creating an account on behalf of anyone under this age it is expected that the age is set correctly in account settings to ensure this is disabled.

Facebook AdsThis is used to help optimise our adverts on the Facebook platform and measure their effectiveness.

SentryThese are used to collect errors from visitors during their visit to the website. Some applications may take video or screenshots of errors.
